Introduction:

APAAR (Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry) is a unique identification system designed for every student in India. Introduced under the government’s 'One Nation, One Student ID' initiative, it aligns with the vision of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

The APAAR ID is a 12-digit unique identification number that allows students to securely store, manage, and access their complete academic records online. This includes mark sheets, certificates, degrees, diplomas, and co-curricular achievements. It acts as a lifelong digital identity within the education system."

APAAR ensures transparency and fairness in education by tracking student progress and maintaining organized academic records. It simplifies processes, prevents duplication, reduces fraud, and highlights co-curricular achievements to support holistic development."

Benefits of APAAR:

  1. Enables smooth transfers between schools and institutions
  2. Offers greater academic flexibility
  3. Empowers students to follow personalized learning paths
  4. Officially recognizes and validates all learning achievements
